Wait a sec — I thought poor people went into the military to get an education, and make their lives better, no?

So every military person is a ~*nation’s hero*~ who deserves our unexamined and unquestionable support for the wars they fight in, because they’re fighting for our freedom and doing the country’s most important job… BUT only lazy people go on food stamps and need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps… wow, it’s almost like the Military Industrial Complex has furthered the income divide by deceiving people into thinking an army career will make their life better permanently. SHOCKING.
